I have always had maps on my wall. Now I am in a new down-sized apartment and there is not the room for maps that I have had in larger homes. I bought this desk-map because I noticed that my desk was showing some wear since I recently moved. I like the size of the new desk map. I like the color as well and I like the surface texture, which is perfect for my purposes. I am not in the habit of ordering items that I see on Facebook, so I was a little anxious as I waited through the holiday period for an order confirmation and some shipping instructions. Eventually I got a message that it had shipped and I was pleased with the finished product when it arrived. I have seen that it cleans up well after spills and it is soft and offers a non-slip surface. I expect many years of satisfied use of this fine product.

Nice size, good non-slip backing and I was able to get rid of the separate mousepad I was using before.
However I find that if I'm writing onto a single sheet of paper (IKR? who writes like that anymore? Well... me!) I need to use some kind of backing (a sturdy sheet of cardboard works) otherwise the pen or pencil goes through the paper because of the textile surface of the mat.
